On Monday, December 30th, the celebration mile between the Brandenburg Gate and the Victory Column will open its doors for the first time. The first music rehearsals can be admired between 12 p.m. and 8 p.m. On Saturday, December 31, admission is also possible from 12 p.m. If you don't want to stand in front of closed gates later, you should visit the site five or six hours before the gigantic fireworks. There is no on-site parking. The nearest public stops are in Tiergarten, Bellevue, Friedrichstrasse, Kochstrasse and Potsdamer Platz. In order not to endanger the safety of all party guests, glass bottles and alcohol must be left at home, as well as firecrackers and sharp objects.
The stage program starts at 7 p.m., with live bands and DJs heating up the crowd. National and international acts do the honors. Although the program for the 2023/24 New Year's Eve celebrations in Berlin will not be announced until December, last year's artists promise a varied evening. Laser and light animations will also provide the right ambience in 2022, finger food from all over the world will provide the necessary delicacies.
Incidentally, the big New Year's Eve celebration in Berlin can also be followed on the screen: from 9.45 p.m., ZDF will broadcast its live program "Welcome 2023".
